Default "low Carb" High...

I haven't realized that I no longer get the mid afternoon "lul" until yesterday. I was in an all day trainning with my 20 co-workers w/ a pile of candy on our table that the everyone nibbled on all day long as well as the big subs that everyone ate for lunch. I refrained from the candy and stuck to a chix salad for lunch.
At 3:00, everyone was falling asleep and I was so enthusiastic. I was "that girl" that everyone hates, I was raising my hand to volunteer, jumping up to answer questions first. They all know I'm on Atkins so one guy yelled out - "someone, please give her a piece of bread". It was so funny!

I love my energy!! :

That happens to me at school - much to my students' chagrin! They're ready to take their after lunch nap (these are high school students) and I'm jumping around the classroom (sometimes literally) all enthusiastic about CHEMISTRY!

Maybe I just have a perverse streak in me, but I get a real blast out of doing that!

I understand what you mean. I now feel my best late morning to late-afternoon instead of wishing for a nap after lunch. No more sugar crashes.

He He that's so funny!!! Good to hear your co-workers are so supportive- and you did awesome resisting the candy!

The energy boost is so awesome- I used to have to take a nap every afternoon too- but now I have been on a big housecleaning binge- coupboards and all- reorganizing the garage, basement, and kitchen!!!

I think going out to eat is funny anymore. Everyone else gets overfull and really tired. I get a surge of energy from my LC meal and am ready to get things done

One more thing I'd like to include -- the endorphins high from exercise to the energy high from low carbing!

Wow. My partner says I look more youthful too!
