Default Will Power...Krispy Kremes!

I made it!!! I bought 2 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts yesterday and drove around for 3 hours with them in my front seat and DIDN'T have any, not even a bite...not even the hot one they serve you while in line. If I made it through that...I can't make it through anything!!!

Wish I could say the same. Someone bought Krispy Kremes to work and I ate 2 of them. My first cheat since I started Apr 11. Don't know what was worse, the yukey feeling or the guilt. Guess I was feeling "why not" since I haven't lost anything for weeks even tho I've been good on the plan. Getting very discouraged.

Good job!! I am not sure if I could have done it or not. THankfully I haven't had to face a Krispy Kreme since I moved from Memphis. They sure were tasty. I admire your willpower.

Yes ! All the more for them in their eyes, and they didn't give a hoot when I commented that I felt a little guilty "poisoning my co-workers" !

Actually, I meant that they appreciated that you didn't lick the donuts before you gave them to them. But also what you said.

Willpower is a strange commodity. My little 85 lb Granny can't keep weight on, so I always take her shortbread cookies when I visit (turn about is fair play, she made 'em for me 35 years ago). I can buy & keep a box of good Scottish shortbread around here for weeks until I visit her, so long as they 'have her name on them'.

Rah, Bostongirl! I had to get some Krispy Kremes, too, for a child's birthday party, and when I turned down the hot, fresh-off-the-line doughnut they offered me, the guy actually froze in amazement and then questioned me deeply! I took the opportunity to propagandize. However, this didn't call for much willpower on my part, since I have never liked doughnuts. Ice cream samples, however...

I have never tasted a krispy kreme donut. Around the time when I started Atkins I went to this meeting in the evening and afterwards they gave each person a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts when we were leaving. When I got off the elevator I asked the security/concierge if he wanted them and he had a huge grin on his face and said yes so I gave them to him. Whew! I guess I should have thrown them away instead but I hated the idea of throwing away food. I feel guilty about inducing him to eat that crap....kinda.

Peace
red

Krispy kreme is new here in Canada. I can honestly say that I have never felt the urge to eat one, however if you were to describe them, what would you say? Donuts are donuts to me, so i`d love to hear this....
