pretty soon you'll be looking at some of that stuff and saying "how can they put that poison in their bodies???". fajitas are a good choice too.

Yum, fajitas. I thought this would be good as well. Meat, cheese, onions, peppers, guacamole, sourcream, etc. Just be careful of the beans (depending on stage you are in), tortillas, and tortilla chips.

Perhaps the salsa might be good depending on the ingredients.

I love mexican too. I eat all the LC mexican foods without the bad carbs with it. I do not miss a thing. I do that with pizza too.

I think a lot of commercial salsas have sugar in them. My downfall at mexican places is the margaritas.... who needs food??

Cass, I thought for a while I couldn't eat without bread. I missed it something awful. Now, I can serve it to others and it doesn't even bother me.
Same thing with pasta. Had a terrible craving for that for a while also.
Believe me, if you stick to the WOE, those cravings will go away.
It isn't easy but it WILL happen.

Cass,
There is a wonderful taqueria a few doors down from my office.
We have lunch there at least twice a week. I eat chili rellenos,
and carne asade tacos (with a fork-no shells). They also have
a wonderful grilled chicken salad served on a bed of lettuce and
I have the ranch dressing on the side. At first I did miss the rice
and beans and of course the chips, but I prefer not to feel bloated,
which is always how I felt after eating mexican food.
Those carbs just aren't worth it!!! Good luck, you can do this!!!

Suzie

you have to remember that carbs are an addiction so once your off them it shouldn't bother you to be around those types of foods, you could have taco salad minus shell and refried beans, i thought i could never live w/ out pasta i used to think this woe was nuts but now i can watch people eat pasta and cake around me and not even want it you will get there HANG IN THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'LL MAKE IT!!!!!!!
