Coconut Oil, Tomatoe Juice, Sunflower seeds
Oh no Cindielyn, it doesn't slow you down at all!! As a matter of fact, it is flushing my system out big time. Besides, 10 carbs is not really a big deal-the tomato juice boost energy and that right there burns it right back off. Well, I was really skeptical about all the high fat; coconut oil, sunflower seeds, tomato juice... however, since I started doing this a week ago I have lost 5 lbs. It's not water weight either, I did that already at the beginning of my new start, the end of May. I have a lot of energy and actually want to drink water! Sometimes you get bored with water because it really doesn't have that quenching feeling you know. Well, my metabolism is working hard. I get kind of hot like I've been working out and kind of thirsty so I get a tall glass of cold water and it tastes so good. Also, they are right on when they talk about eating the nuts and seeds (sunflower). It really is helping me not to crave snacks so much after work or when I watch TV. I don't get just the seeds, I eat the whole ones in the shell so it crunches (which is very satisfying for snackers) when I crack it open it gives me something to do with my hands while I watch TV and keeps me from downing a bag of chips. I also end up drinking a lot of water at the same time (you can get unsalted whole sunflower seeds if you worry about the sodium). Also, I have read that cherries are great for you as well. They are a natural stress reliever and sweet so they keep you away from the cookies. Another TV snacking trick is frozen blackberries. I get fresh blackberries and divide them up into freezer baggies (about a cup each) with a half packet of sweetner and freeze them. When you get a craving or after a work out, grab a bag and enjoy. I think I'm really getting the hang of it. Dieting and getting healthy is not as bad as I used to make it. I used to starve myself and eat like 1 can of tuna and 1 can of veggies a day, but it would always come back when I stopped. Now I eat regular meals and snacks and I'm losing weight and feeling comfortable again. At the end of May I was wearing tight size 16s and very fatigued, moody, and never wanted to go any where. I now wear 14s comfortably and even put on a pair of 12 stretch jeans Saturday night and went out without feeling ashamed of myself and the way I think I look. I'm singin' now ~
