Default Hungry!!!!

I've been doing Atkins for two months. Initially lost 12# in about the first 2 weeks and been there ever since. I don't have cravings too often and almost never give in to them. But the last couple of days I've been so hungry! Do you know the feeling when you're really hungry for something but you're not sure what it is, so you eat and eat until you figure it out? Well that's where I've been for the past couple of days. I'd eat bratwurst, or string chesse wrapped in ham, or flaxseed muffins or sausage, egg & cheese bake (both receipes from this forum), but no sweets or carbs. Nothing was satisfying me and nothing was filling me up! So last night I said to he-- with it and went to the Macaroni Grill and had bread, pasta and dessert. It was wonderful and I finally felt full. No cravings today. And now I'll get back to Atkins.

Is this weird - does anyone else go thru this?

I have, but just once so far (counting my blessings). It wasn't anywhere near TOM so that wasn't the trigger. Still haven't figured it out. Maybe after it happens a few times I can check my food journal and see if something I'm eating only rarely is the culprit!

PP? Is that like TOM? Either way, I'm WAY past that (age), so that is not a factor for me. Whatever caused it, I'm back to LCing and having no cravings at all. So I guess a binge now and then is not altogether a bad thing, at least not for me! Yay!

I think the "PP" Jadie was referring to is "Protein Power."

That's great you can get away with a binge! I'm concerned if I cheat once that it will start me down a slippery slope. Just be careful!

I find this happens when I'm home all day (like during the weekends). I'm pretty sure that for me it's boredom. I will eat anything in sight (with no carbs!). The solution for me is to just do SOMETHING. I normally just take a walk around the block with a bottle of water (it's 115 outside) and try to finish the water by the time I get home. I find that when I'm hot, food is the last thing I want!
