Question Caffine free Diet Coke

Whilst looking through the labels on soft drinks at our local super market i noticed that diet coke has no carbs. I realized then that i still couldn't have it because of the caffine, but then noticed they did caffine free diet coke. So someone please tell me is this allowed on Atkins?

I had a glass tonight and enjoyed it so much, but am afraid to have anymore until i know for sure. Also can anyone tell me where i can buy some low carb products in Cornwall England?

I am not really missing bread, but just one morning i would love to have a slice of toast. I saw an advert somewhere low carb bread for sale £6.00 a loaf, is that really the price of it?

Thanks

Default It's the sweetener

Roza
The 'bad' thing about Coke is not only the caffeine, it's the sweetener called aspartame that most people try to avoid. I know that for me, I got headaches when I drank too much drinks with that particular sweetener. I now drink sodas that use the sweetener called Splenda. I'm not saying not to drink Coke, but be aware of aspartame. Go to the search button for more info in this board about aspartame.

Good Luck

hey,
aspertame also stalls some during weight loss. the best thing to drink is water, but if your like me you get bored with it. you can drink diet rite and diet rite products. they contain no sodium, aspertame, carbs, caffiene. and they taste pretty good.

Where can i get these diet right drinks. I am from England and haven't seen anything by that name.

I drink lots of water, but just now and again it would be nice to have a cold coke with lemon.

Thanks for your reply

Yes!!! Diet Rite is GREAT!!! I'm not from England, but here in my area it is sometimes hard to spot because they don't have 12 of them on the front of the shelf like they do other more popular sodas. Look carefully where you shop. Diet Rite also has flavors besides cola, IF you can find those!

Actually Roza I would double check the ingredients since I think over there in Europe, the sodas are sweetened with saccharin which is ok to use - well better than aspartame.
