Default Pull ups

My favorite back exercise is pull ups. However, I have never been able to do more than 3 at a time. I know that as I lose weight, that will be one exercise I get stronger at, however does anyone have a good program for pull ups?

if you do them throughout the day, every day, you should progress quickly. Have one or two days off, but do several sets (not to failure) throughout the day, gradually increasing.

One of the staple back builders ever discovered.

3 is actually not bad.

Default Try assisted pull ups

I'm not all the way to my first, but after 6 months of not much progress, I let my feet barely touch the floor and did three assisted pull ups and realized I have miles of work to do. But I had to get into the full range of motion before I could see it.

So do the three you can, and then rip off enough to make a full set with some kind of assist.

Pull ups are great. However, if you are not happy with only doing 3 AND have access to a gym, use a lat pulldown machine. It works the same muscles but you can adjust the weight thus getting up to a more desirable level of reps.

Cheers
