Talking GOT RID OF MY SUPER FAT CLOTHES!

Well, I'm new here, but I would like to share with you the most wonderful experience I had: ridding my closet of my super fat clothes. These were clothes that I always knew looked terrible on me, but I kept them simply because they fit me. Now that I have lost 50lbs, I feel so confident, that I gave them all away to a local women's shelter. My closet is neat and tidy and I feel just FABULOUS! I even went as far as to get rid of the clothes I was saving for "when I lose weight". There's no point in that---I'm so happy when I lose inches, I love to reward myself with new clothes! Hehe.......so, that's my inspiring thought for the day!

CONGRATULATIONS!! 50lbs is no mean feat and you deserve a treat. Our family started low carb eating about the same time. My 20 year old daughter is nearing the 50 lb mark. The change in her attitude and personality (not to mention appearance) is amazing. She still has quite a way to go but I am sure she will reach her goal because we are all comitted to this WOE.
Maybe we will see you in the local Bulk barn buying pork rinds.

Sharon

Reward yourself away, girlfriend! There's nothing like new well-fitting (smaller) clothes that flatter your new, sexy figure to keep you motivated.

Default The clothes keep falling off...

I hear you, about the clothes. I never thought how wonderful it would be to have to belt up the old pants. I've been doing the Atkins for approx 30-days now. I have had to tie 2-belt loops together to keep my jeans from falling off while walking!

I used to dread clothes shopping, but for the first time, I'm looking forward to going!

Recently, I had to be sized for a tux again, (yet another freind is getting married) and to my surprise I had lost at least 4-5 inches!
down to a 37-in..... ahhhh!

I'm like a kid with a new toy. Having fun being a loser!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ( of weight that is )
Cheers all, John

Thumbs up Excellent Thread!!

I just wanted to say congrats on your weight loss!!! I like the fact that you actually got rid of your big clothes instead of just putting them at the back of the closet (which is what I have done).

When I lose 30 lbs, mine are HISTORY. I'll follow your idea of giving them to local charity.....great idea.

Keep it up.

Thanks for sharing!

Jennifer

Here ya on the clothes buying. Something I didn't bother with for years. I really don't know how to dress a fat body.

Today I bought myself some new shorts (size 14...yeah babieee) and this real cute top as an incentive.

It was fun. Much better then spending time in a grocery store
