Default Am I eating enough?

Hi there,

I was just wondering if some of you can take alook at my journal and see if I am eating enough and in the right proportions?

I am not hungry and I feel much better. I have only been LCing officially for 2 days and my ketostix are trace or negative??

Please help

Hi Tabno 1, welcome!

You are right to question the amount you are eating. You need to eat much more, or your body will go into starvation mode and you will not lose anything.

Also, I think you need to have another read of Dr Atkins' New Diet Revolution, or read it if you haven't yet.

The carb allowance is 20 for Induction. And beer is definitely not on the list of allowed foods.

Never mind, it's early days yet. How about sitting down with your book and planning some meals.

The best way to increase your calories is to have more fat. Plenty of butter on your vegies etc.

I started drinking the beer and realized what I was doing and stopped immediately, only consuming about a quarter bottle!

I would just like to add that ketones ususally don't show up in the urine till day 3.
