Default My Husband told me................

My husband and I were planting our garden yesterday and as we were talking he said..."you have bad breath".......... I smiled and said" yea its the Ketosis"
I went back to planting and thought YES!!!! He told me I had bad breath, ohhhhh I love him soooooooooo much, lmao.

What are some of the other things that you never thought that you would think or say, but do now that you are LCing????


-" hmmmmmmmm I can do my own bikini wax now"
-I can sit cross legged on the floor
-" for my salad dressing..anything that is NOT low fat"

Old way: "I don't care where we eat, as long as they have a great dessert menu"
New way: "I don't care where we eat as long as I can get something grilled and steamed veggies"

"We just did pizza 2 weeks ago, why don't we cook here at home."

I also got out of the habit of cleaning off my son's plate to not waste food. I even tought him to scrape his own plate in trash before putting it in sink so there's not even a temptation.

Me: Do you sell wheat gluten?
Assistant: We have lots of gluten free products.
Me: No, I want to buy the gluten, the stuff you took out of the gluten free products.

(They didn't have any!)

old way: There not too tight are they?
New Way: I need a smaller size.

Old way: I want wendys tonight..ok lets go
New way; ok well lets go pick YOU up something... my T-Bone & salad with blue cheese & real bacon will be waiting for me when we get back!

Old Way: 5 Cokes a day
New Way: Soda is just too seet. This Perrier with lemon is great!

Old Way: "I'm almost out of food...Time to get some more Pasta and Bread."

New Way: "I'm almost out of food...Time to get some more steak, vegetables, catfish, shrimp, REAL bacon bits, eggs, cheese, and olive/canola oil."

Old Way: "I need something quick to eat...I'll throw some bread in the toaster."

New Way: "I need something quick to eat...I'll grab some lettuce, shredded cheese, bacon bits, and salad shrimp."

Old Way: "Can I get another basket of bread while I wait ???"
New Way: "Before the waitress can ask: "No bread, thanks"

Old Way: "Damn Heartburn !!!"
New Way: "Heartburn ??? Geez, I can't even remember what it felt like"

Old Way: Fall asleep at "And today's farm report..."
New Way: Fall asleep at "your host Conan O'Brien"

Before: I need a nap.
Now: I need to walk.

Before: Asocial
Now: Talk to strangers at the drop of a hat

Before: despised coconut flavor
Now: Personally responsible for global coconut oil shortage

Before: Watch two hours of TV a night, live.
Now: Watch 3 hours/week of taped TV shows, while I'm on the treadmill.

Before: Same ol', same ol' in the kitchen.
Now: At least 1 new recipe/week.

Before: egg rolls
Now: *wistful sigh*

Before: Eat candy every two hours to compensate for a short night's sleep.
Now: Get a good night's sleep.

Before: We just had sex two weeks ago!
Now: Oooh, baby, you look *good*!

This is a great thread!

Old: Get depressed every time I go to the closet and find another thing that doesn't fit.
New: Pull things out of storage closet that DO fit! I get a whole new wardrobe!

Old: Hate to go clothes shopping.
New: Can't wait to go shopping, but am holding off until I am closer to my goal.

Old: Feeling guilty that I hated Frankenfood, and wouldn't eat it
New: Am so happy that I am ALLOWED to hate Frankenfood, that it is verboten on this WOE, and I get my fill of real butter, cheese, etc.

Old: Love pork skins but would NEVER eat them - they are pure fat!
New: Love pork skins and feel no guilt whatsoever eating them, and even bread my chicken in them!

Old: I don't want to move my butt off the couch after work.
New: Gonna be late getting home because I've got to go to the gym and walk/run 2-3 miles before my yoga class.

"Yes, I want the bacon cheeseburger, just hold the bun."

"That steak is cooked in butter? Even better!"

After: For dessert: Salad... yes I eat salads for desserts, weird or what?

Before: Damn, My pants ripped!
After: Look I can put my pants off and on without unzipping them!

Before: Chicken Marsala on Linguini
After: Chicken Marsala on Broccoli (mmmm!)

Before: Flavored drinks with meals
After: I prefer water so I can really taste the meals.

Before: No berries on the Angelfood cake thank you.
After: Just the berries thank you.

Default or, speaking *as* the husband... :)

Old Way: always made sure the kids were in front of me in any family pictures.
New Way: I'm not embarrassed at how I look in pictures.

Old Way: nothing important got done at work after about 3pm. Too sleepy.
New Way: "It's 5-o-clock already? Geez, I'm on a roll here!"

Old Way: Never got enough sleep. Always woke up tired. Jumped out of bed, dashed off to work with only a cup of coffee in me.
New Way: Plenty of energy. Full plate of breakfast every morning. Still have the coffee, but not as much.

Old Way: "We can't have steak for dinner. We had some already this week."
New Way: Buying family packs of steak at Costco.

All the responses as wonderful and I identify with almost all of them.

These are my 2 most important ones:
Before: Could not walk up the stairs without knee pain.
Now: Can RUN up the stairs with no pain.

Before: Had to sleep on soft couch due to hip pain and restless leg syndrome.
Now: I'm sleeping soundly with my husband on my firm mattress.
