The only big difference is now I only cook the main meat dish (no more non-friendly sides)-- then DH & I each fix our own sides. Strangely enough, now that I don't prepare the mashed potatoes or mac 'n cheese, he doesn't miss them and doesn't bother to prepare them himself! The sucker has lost 15 lbs. inadvertantly. Go figure. Not to say that I never fix him carby sides, because I do, I just don't do it very often. I figure it'll change when we have kids, but for now, I'll stick to this.

Bottom line is he wants me around for a loooong time and if this is the way to do it, so be it.
