I dont' know about BC, but if you get down to Washington, try Frito products. Or ask your grocery manager to notify the Frito rep that you want them. They are shipped from Federal Way, but I don't know if they are shipped out of country from WA.

Superstore has 3 varieties in their house brand: plain, barbecue and hot 'n spicy. They're in the chip aisle.

Save On and Safeway have Old Dutch Bac'n Puffs, regular only and more expensive than Superstore.

But those of us who have been eating them since childhood call them "Piggy Puffs".

My wife was totally grossed out when she first saw me eating these. But now she is low carbing and so she tried them. She ate them until her gums bled! hahaha.

Don't know if you have any of these stores in B.C. but Zehrs, Zellers, Walmart and A & P have them in Ontario. Lately I have even noticed them in TSC which is Ontario based Farm and Urban store, go figure!!!! And yes they put them in the potato chip aisle usually.

Default The makers of Pork-Rinds are plotting against me...

I have searched everywhere in this town and can't find them. We are going to the island next week and I will make sure I hunt some down. Saweetie told me that she found them at Superstore so I am going to make sure to check that out. We do have Wal-Mart in my town - but that is the extent of our shopping experience (unless you count Safeway and Overwaitea).

I saw a recipe in DANDR for some type of fried meat that used crushed pork rinds instead of flour as the batter. I still can't imagine eating pork rinds (that grosses me out), but anyway if you all have the book, you'll see the recipe I'm talking about. I think it was chicken with egg brushed on it, and then pork rinds and parmesan? Perhaps the recipe page has it as well.

I tried a slow cooker recipe I got from one of the low carb sites for chicken which is dredged in ground up pork rinds with tomato sauce , and it was excellent, couldn't even tell it was pork rinds.
