Hi ya Bloom. Great article!!

I don't get how apparent "experts" can't see the addictive qualities of sugar. Furthermore, they confuse the important role of glucose in the body with refined sugar, which is an anti-nutrient, robbing the body of nutrients. How can something that robs the body of important nutrition be considered so benign by some? I don't get it. Are these experts addicted themselves? Maybe that's why they deny the addictive qualities of sugar. In the height of my sugar addiction, I remember being vehemently angry about anything considered low carb. Low carb was a severe threat to my addiction.

Some people just don't understand. Countless times I've asked friends and family not to let me eat sugar while around them, but no one takes me seriously. They actually think it's comical. If I were an alcoholic, they'd be jumping to stop me from taking that first sip. But no, I'm apparently allowed a splurge every now and then. It really frustrates me that I'm on my own with my addiction.

Wanda
