Question Measurments

How often should I check my measurements. I'm only a week into the program so I don't plan to do it now. I just wondered how often others measured themselves. I can tell I've lost some around my waist because my pants are looser.

TIA

Diane

I just finished my first week too and I thought I would check my measurements once a week at least for awhile. But I don't have a scale so this is the only way I can tell if I am losing right now.

That's a good idea. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and go ahead and measure. You're probably better off not having a scale. I know I'm not supposed to weigh everyday but it's a habbit I'm finding hard to break. Thanks again and good luck with your measurements!

I took my measurements the day I began low-carbing so I would have something to compare to. Now I take measurements every two weeks. It's great to look at the beginning numbers and see my progress.

Definitely take measurements because my weight has not changed much in the last month, but I'm still seeing a change in measurements.

GlowBug,

Thanks for the advice. I did take my measurements at the beginning so that I would have a baseline. To me, losing inches and firming up is more important than what the scale says - not that i wouldn't want to lose more weight. I have 2 boys that require me to have lots of energy. One (8 y.o.) who is constantly on go and the other (12) who has already started acting like a teenager requires a different type of stamina, not to mention patience on my part.
