Default Changes in hair and skin while LCing?

Just wondering if any of you who have been at this a while have noticed a difference in your hair and skin. I know others have mentioned that their nails are stronger, but I was thinking that the protien should also affect hair....perhaps making it stronger? Also, with so much fat in the diet, I wondered if anyone is seeing "nicer", softer skin?

Would love to hear your experiences.......

Good skin is one of the first things I noticed doing Atkin's. I never break out any more, but when I ate alot of carbs I would break out occassionally. There is a lot of research going on relating carbohydrates consumption (especially the sugars and refined ones) with a lot of the skin problems such as acne, wrinkles, etc., that are only found in the industrialized western cultures and other nations that adhere to the high-carbohydrate diets. Once primitive cultures that lived off meats, and things they can grow, like non-starchy vegetables, were cultured into a more western style diet with a lot of carbohydrates, they had many of the similar skin problems associated with the western culture. So Atkin's is good for the skin it seems.

My skin got drier, until I started taking coconut oil on a regular basis. Alas, my nails are as brittle as ever. As to hair, heredity isn't budging in its plan to bankrupt me of this asset.
