Default Holy Cow!

It's day 4 of Atkins and I've already lost 4 pounds!!

And I actually feel GOOD, plenty of energy, even without the coffee. Felt strong with yoga and we'll try running again today. I took a few days off, expecting to be wiped out.

I've noticed I'm having to, um... pee... more, but am still constipated. Sorry, gross. So maybe this is water weight?

Yes, the initial weight loss is water, the lc way of eating has a diuretic effect.
Have you tried psyllium husks for constipation? I've read lots of posts from others who have. Keep up the water intake and make sure you're eating green veggies - this might help as well.

Congrats!! Iowagirl is right... lots of water, nice green veggies. Also watch your cheese intake. Sometimes in induction when your varieties aren't up to par yet, it can cause constipation.

Good luck to you!!!

Default thanks!

though it would be nice if it was real weight... I think the cheese is to blame. I've seen a number of people comment on the psyllium husks as well. Have been using Citrucell but it lists no ingredients whatsoever.

Hi, great job!

Psyllium works just dandy for me.

Also, since I have a bodyfat measuring scale thingy, I noticed that my bf% decreased from the first day on the diet. So it can't be *all* water weight. Enjoy!

Thanks! I'm actually having a weird thing happen... my body fat reading is RISING. It's gone from 28 on day one (it's read 28-29 for the past coupld years) to 31 this morning. Eek!!! Kind of scary, maybe this is my real reading, which the water weight skewed.
