Smile Woooohooooooo!!!

For the girl who has been a size 16 for as long as she can remember, I went into the Gap today, and fit into a size 12!!! Yipppeeee! The person who checked me into the fitting booth must have thought i was a total idiot, because i went in with size 16's (my usual) then asked for 14's.... then sheepishly traded those in for a size 12. The jeans were a teensy bit snug, but the skirt was fantastic!
I have been discouraged lately, as no lbs. have really been lost these past 3 weeks - i hadn't lost in inches either since i began, but apparently, the last couple weeks i must have!! I feel really good. I bought the size 12 skirt, not necessarily because i thought it was superfantastic, but mostly because of the label - LOL. What a loser i am! But seriously - this size loss is *so* much better than losing the lbs!! It was enough of a morale booster for me to stick with it, i think (I wasn't planning on quitting mind you - just the temptation to eat a bit ol' hunk of sourdough bread was getting almost unbearable!)
Just thought i would share some happy news....

Isn't it grand when a "size loss" does away with the temptation to eat a bit ol' hunk of sourdough bread? Happy LCing!!!

That is FAN-TAS-TIC!!

I had a similar experience this weekend. I bought pants that were 18's yesterday. (Down from a 24). There were a pair of Capri's that were 16 that I got on, but a bit snug. I decided to hold off on those.

This is the greatest feeling in the world! YOU GO!!

Congratulations and good for you! I personally can't wait until I can wear the sexy little outfits....but in the meantime, just being able to shop at a GAP store would be a great booster.

I can't wait until I can see something at Lane Bryant and not be able to wear it because they don't come in a size SMALL enough to fit me!

You're story is great...it reminds me to stop focusing so much on pounds and remember inches count!!!!

Default Yippeeeee!

Way to go! What a terrific surprise to expect to buy one size and end up with a smaller one. Not only a surprise, but very motivational too!!

Be proud of your hard work to get to where you are now!

Congrats!

Thanks guys - i don't know what i would have done without everyone's help and support on this forum If you are stalled, or slow at losing, it is nice to come here, and realize that other people have been there, and more importantly, stuck with it, and gotten through.
When i woke up this morning, i had to double check to make sure the size 12 skirt still existed. It does! YAY! Have a good Sunday, everyone...
