Why have the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger?

I find I'm not full unless I get a double.

There's not a lot of good "Fast" food other than burgers -- mainly because most of the chains marinate their grilled chicken in dextrose solutions.

However -- let me put a vote in for my lunch yesterday.

Smoky Bones BBQ -- Buffalo Cheeseburger w/ Steamed Broccoli

Broccoli is one of their standard sides, and the buffalo burger is succulent and fantastic. Just say no bun.. they weren't surprised a bit when I ordered it like that.

Ultimate Cheeseburger at Jack-in-the-Box - again no bun, Jack also has came out with some out of the ordinary salads. Had the southwest chicken salad yesterday and it was yummy.

Thumbs up

I buy the tacos at Del Taco and dump the filling out and toss the shell. Makes a nice taco salad. I ordered the taco salad and it was mostly lettuce and cost a lot more.

Boston Market -- I like the turkey and the chicken. You have to choose your sides carefully, but there are always several choices of vegetables. Stay away from the cornbread!

Default McDonalds

In Canada, McDonalds has a light menu now. The Chicken Caesar Salad has big chunks of chicken with real bacon pieces and parmesan cheese. Just toss the croutons. Mmmm. Good.

Default Mexican food

At most Mexican food restaurants you can order fajitas. About all you can eat, just avoid the tortillas. You can also have carne asada. Just don't eat the beans and rice, or maybe you can have them replace it with salad.

At Backyard Burger, I had a great salad, but was disappointed when the small pack of Italian dressing had 6 carbs in it.

Smile Wendy's rocks!

Besides the Jr. Bacon cheese burger, I love the Ceasar Side Salad. The dressing only has 1.5 grams of carb for the whole packet. I give the croutons to my husband.

My favorite fast food places of all time are those little, no-name taco wagons that you see parked in various places around here. You can get wonderful carne asada or carnitas for cheap. Just ask them to leave off the tortillas and give you a fork.

Cool

We have a place called Chipolte's here that makes "too big for your mouth burritos" Huge stuffed with cilantro-lime rice, beans, chicken, steak or another meat (can't think of the name), pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, and quacalmole... simply huge... now they sell it in a bowl, hence the term Burrito bowl. But I only get the romaine lettuc, steak, cheese and sour cream. Yum. Every now and then I get about 2 Tlbs of the rice. But usually the other is just fine.

Default PIZZA HUT!!

Yes, Pizza Hut. But, I don't get pizza. I get the mild wings.
Less than 1gr per serving (which is 5 pcs, I usually get 10)

http://www.pizzahut.com/more.asp

Subway. I ask for two chicken breasts on my salad. I usually take it home though, and use my own salad dressing. I think I'll find out the carbs in theirs.

Sonny's Bar-B-Que. I get the pork or chicken and a side salad. You usually get the Bar-B-Q sauce separate, so that's not a problem.

Applebee's. I don't remember what they call it, but it's chicken with two kinds of cheese on it. Cheddar/Jack. It comes with mashed potatoes which I change into a side salad and get oil/vinegar for dressing. (Also a garlic bread toast, which I ask them to keep) You can also get a nice steak.

Cracker Barrell
Pork Chops
Green beans. Their vegetables are rather limited for this. The only other choice is turnip greens. (At least on Induction)

Chilli's
Has a chicken dish with cheese and bacon. I think it also has a spot of Bar-B-Q sauce, but I didn't even see it.
Extra grilled veggies instead of the mashed potatoes.

When my BF orders a pizza from Domino's, I just get an order of their hot wings, have with some bleu cheese dressing and some celery sticks, yum! Tastes like a cheat, but it's really a great LC meal!

I don't really eat that much fast food. When I go out I like to go to a real sit down restaurant, and as for work, I always bring my lunch....I don't have enough time to go get something. Also, I'm wary about the actual sugar/carb counts of anything other than burgers, so I tend to shy away from it.

At TGIFridays (not really fast food) - they have the chicken & cheese grill - chicken breasts come atop melted cheddar/jack cheese with onions and green and red peppers. Instead of the side mashed potatoes, I get their fresh steamed broccoli with butter.
