Vicky I hate to tell you this, but I looked at the whipped philedelphia cream cheese and it is less than 1 carb per 2 TABLESPOONS not ounces.. therefore the cubed cream cheese is <1 per ounce and there is less in the cubed ones it looks like...? Otherwise I would think they would put 0 instead of <1

You can always wip the blocked cream cheese with a beater to make it lighter, thats what I do!

Im not sure what you mean.....I had stated that it was less than 1 carb per 2 TBS (two times in my earlier posts) and that I use about 6T whipped cream cheese. I was wrong on the original post where I figured my carb count when I said there is 6T in 1/2c...there are 8T in 1/2 cup.....but irregardless, I only use about 6T of whipped cream cheese in this recipe. I know its probably cheaper to buy the block cream cheese, but I find it more convenient to use the whipped. I would say if you used the block cream cheese and you followed this recipe, it wouldn't be a 1/2 cup. And thats because the block is not as airy as the whipped cream cheese.
So, really, its whatever you wanna do and whatever you come up with to get the taste you want!!

Question Anybody have a cheesecake recipe using cottage cheese as well as cream cheese?

I used to have one somewhere, but I cannot find it any more. Not sure if it was in one of my old Weight Watchers cookbooks, or .........

Cool Oh Yumm!!

I made this last night, I don't think I could even eat it in two sittings! I used it this morning as a spread on a couple Atkins Banana Nut Muffins. It helped them go down a little easier as I found the texture of them kinda dry and grainy. Yum, Yum, Yum.

hi u all,

just did the cream cheese bit. Thought of whipping something up for the holiday.
Here is what I did.
2 pkg. sugar free raspberry jello disolved as usual.
1 pint of strawberries sliced into this. Let set.

Soften and creamed
one 8 oz pkg of cream cheese with a bit of lemon zest
3 tbsp of splenda

1 pint of heavy cream whipped with
2 tbsp. splenda.

folded cream and cream cheese together and spread on strawberry jello.

I ran all this thru fitday and comes out to about 8.5 carbs per 1/8th of a serving which is quite generous. Had to include my big boys in this . lol

Was it ever a treat.

I just made this. I left out the water though. what is the purpose of it? I also tried using stevia instead of splenda, but used too much on accident. For an interesting taste I added a splash of peach DaVincci, but in the end product you can't even taste it, so probably not worth it unless more is added.

The baby is stealing all of it though :\

And I cant even eat the whole bowl......It usually makes enough for half after lunch and half after dinner.

Well it only lasted one night for me I only got 1/4 or less. The kids polished it off in nothing flat. I'm just hopping it wasn't too rich and they will wake up with tummy aches later tonight.
