Hi Candyapple,
Thought I would share my Disneyland experience with you.
My DH and I took the kids there last month. I was nervous
and didn't want to totally fall of the wagon. And you know
what I didn't. I got on this forum ahead of time and got
some wonderful advice. Basically, planning ahead was
what kept me on track. I bought some LC snacks and
kept them in the refrigerator in our hotel room.
Some string cheese, macadamias, RTD shakes,
diet A & W root beer with cream (faux float) yum.
The kids had their treats at the park, but when I got
back to the hotel and as they watched TV, I indulged in
my yummy LC snacks. It kept me full and not feeling
deprived. And going into the park feeling full and content
I was able not to give in to the fake cookie smells that
comes out of those vents!!!!!
When we got into the park, I stuck to eating at the
restaurants. Good salads, and had a foot long hot dog
no bun. And of course, drank lots of water. The hotel
had a killer buffet which was probably the hardest for me.
Lots of fruit and of course morning danishes. I stuck to
omelets and a few strawberries. I knew if I gave in to
the carbs, I would feel sick, bloated and yucky.
Well thats my Disneyland LC experience.
Hope I have been of some help. Have a wonderful time
with your family.
Suzie
