Smile I'm getting ready for BFL

Hi everyone.
I've started a bit of BFL last week with the exercises..
Did it a couple of years ago and lost about 30 lbs...so I'm going for it again.
I'm getting ready to go full force starting Monday.....

The food thing has been a constant struggle for me..tried Atkins and just lately, WW...can't seem to get it under control.
So, I've come here to get motivated and have also started a journal.

Feel free to offer hints, help, motivation...etc..

Looking forward to this journey...

Di

Hi Didi, welcome to the board! I've been on the board for a while but am just finishing my first week of BFL.

I see you're from Boston. I grew up in Brookline.

Hi, I'm about half way through week 3. Never mind squats, lunges are killers, but they seem to be working.

Welcome!

Thanks for the welcomes...

Today will be upper body workout....that's the hard one for me..I'm a weakling when it comes to upper body strength..
Lower doesn't seem to bother me as much. I can't do squats due to having back surgery a couple of years ago..but I just watch what I do.

I've also posted in my journal. Will be starting the eating part of BFL on Monday. I"ve been out of control with eating lately but I"m ready to get on track

Thanks again...looking forward to hints and motivation...

Di

Did upper body yesterday...
Arms are a little shakey today, but I LOVE IT!!

Need to get my cardio in...been pretty lazy this week.
Could be from carb overload..
Can't wait to start full force on Monday.
Getting some protein bars to help with mid morning/afternoon snacks (meals).

I CAN DO THIS!!!

I too am starting fully on Monday. I was going to start this week but we had decent weather so I've been out prepping my veggie bed. Didn't feel motivated to lift weights on top of shoveling and tilling!

I am looking forward to those inches coming off!

Angry Restarting....AGAIN

Ok...so I've slipped..
vacation did me in...I'm back to Day 1 again.

I will be restarting on Monday...I need these days to get it together with planning and buying food.

I'm done with being fat....I need to get control of myself and my health.
I know BFL works and I'm now more determined than ever to make it work for me.

I WILL NOT BE A FAT BRIDE!!!

No more excuses
No more fooling around...this is business!!

Wish me luck...

Talking I'll be joining you soon!

Hello folks,
you've inspired me to try this myself!

I want to compete in the BFL contest (the latest 12 week round, I guess). Do I have to eat all the food they suggest in order to compete for prizes? I want to eat low carb, but I'm afraid it would disqualify me.

I'm going to have a practice week starting on Monday, then I'll start for real on the 26th.

Good luck didi123!

Default Day 5

Day 5

I posted this in my daily journal:

Here it is Day 5 of BFL....
Doing great on the weight workouts...I've been getting them in.
Haven't been doing the cardio though...have a new puppy and have been running around in the yard, but not much of anything else. She's too young to go for a walk, so hopefully I can start using the treadmill soon...I've just been exhausted with her.
Getting about 2-4 hours of sleep each night...

Also, suffering on the food end...
I was doing fine til Wed. night...pizza did me in, had 3 pieces!!
I'm chalking it up to TOM....it's taken over...it's winning this week.
Not to worry though...I'm still gonna win this!!

Goals:
Get going on the cardio
Drink more water
work on the food

I can...and I WILL succeed!!
