Default Coconut oil benefits?

I have been hearing and reading a great deal about the weight-loss benefits of adding coconut oil to the diet. Has anyone on this forum tried it? I would love to hear about your experiences, good or bad, if you have. Thinking about using it, but want to know more first.

Thank you!

Mary H.

I use it. I notice it brought my body temperature up I am not quite sure if it helped with my loss but I started losing faster when I added it but it could have been because I had upped my fat %. I like it.

Peace
red

p.s. I kind of stopped using it as much but now I read the thread I will increase it up to 4 tablespoons per day. Thanks Talon!

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but my experience with virgin coconut oil was not good.

After only using 2 Tbsp of it over a 12 hour period, I got really sick to my stomach. Then I broke out in a bad rash on my neck.
Itchy as all get out. It was the only food product I had added to my diet, so I suspect that was the cause.

I have emailed the company where I purchased it. I am waiting for a reply. Just wanted to find out if anyone else had reported these problems. I haven't used it since and the rash is gone and I feel fine.

I have never been alergic to coconut, so I don't know why it affected me this way.
Just something to think about.
