Default just the opposite

I'm just the opposite. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the scale moving so quickly. But still no great change in inches. The size 18s still fit and the 16s are still snug - even after a 10 lb drop.

go figure,
domus

There is always the chance that your 18's were growing with you. So even though you lost 10 pounds, it more or less brought you down to the "true" 18. Or what I like to call "off the rack" as oppossed to the worn one in your drawls. I usually like to allow 15 pounds a size and not the ten rule. Also you may have to allow the inches to catch up with the weight loss. I know, this is not what you want to hear. But soon you will be throwing those 18's into the discard pile!

I agree with MaryToU - your current clothes strech a bit to fit becasue they're broken in. I lost 10 pounds on the scale pretty quickly - but I don't expect to go down a size in clothes for another 10 or so - it depends on your height (I am 5'10"). Although I have noticed a couple pair of my pants, while not loose, are not skin tight anymore - Yeah!

One other positive I have already noticed - and I'm not sure why, but my skin looks much better (is it the water? the fat? the combination?)

Hang in there and know you are doing something good for yourself - that is what is most important.

The water AND the fat - both are good for your skin! You're probably eating less processed foods as well and those chemicals just couldn't have been good for you.
