Question Induction not working??

Hi everybody! I just recently started Atkin's induction on Monday. So far I look as if I have been retaining water...its not that TOM either! Is there any explanation for this? Thanks

Have you been drinking a lot of water? Sometimes if you are dehydrated, the body holds onto every ounce of water it can..

Hi!

Iīm on induction since sunday and it works... it order to figure out why it possibly does not work with you, the "professionals" here would have to know what you ate, maybe you ate something that was not ok with atkins and you just donīt realize that. A good way is to start a journal here and write down what you eat and how you do on induction.

The people here offer a huge support!

Hi Megs,

There are many things which could be happening. If you have been on high carb diets before you rbody may be hanging onto the protein to repair damage which it couldn't do before. Also, if you have been a yo yo dieter before progress will be slower.

hang on - keep the carbs to 20g a day and you'll soon become a loser

Robert

Be patient, Megs. I only lost a little over a pound on induction, but you're pretty light already. You're not going to lose weight as quickly as someone who is trying to lose 50 lbs., but you will lose it. I think my weight loss goals might take me all the way to mid-summer, but I'd rather that it happened then than not at all!

Edit:
I just noticed that you're my height. I'm really small-boned, so anything over 135 is kind of chubby for me. Is it for you, too? At 5'8, I'd worry about setting your goal weight so low unless you were very small. I have friends that weigh over that at my height and they are slimmer than I am. If you want to get to that weight, believe me, it is a slow process, since you are relatively lean already. Be patient! We can be patient together!
