Default Whipped Cream....bad?

I'm still on induction and I'm certain that I read something about not having whipped cream during this period. I have since loaned my book to a friend, so I can't go back to check. Can someone set me straight? Because I could sure go for some on my SF jello.

Heavy or light cream is ok if limited to two to three tablespoons a day. Make sure to count carbohydrate content. Whipped is acceptable.

LCBarbara gave you the quantities. I just wanted to add that it is for the fluid cream that you whip up yourself. Cool Whip is a no-no because it contains sugar. I'm fairly certain the whipped cream in a can also contains sugar.

Thank you.

Yes, I should have specified Cool Whip when I posted. That's what I had actually intended on asking.

Well, darn.

What about the whipping cream in the can??? I just bought some Reddi-whip and it has <1g per 2 Tbsp. I think it's a pain to whip up my own!! I'll pay the money to get it from the can!!

Is that OK???

Holly

There is a cream whipper you can buy - we had one when I was a kid - 50 years ago - and I bought one when we were stationed in Germany - it uses small CO2 cartridges - you pour the cream in a metal jug - screw on the top - screw in the gas cartridge - and voila! whipped cream - and it stays fresh in the fridge for a LONG time.

Here is a link to one on e-bay so you can see what it looks like

so I guess that answers my question. I messed up, its too late for me. I went 3 grams over on my carbs and had regular cool whip. I bought the wrong one! Darnit! Did I ruin my day or not really?
