Hmmm - I use "Sweet Leaf" brand of pure stevia powder (I get it at Whole Foods). The label says 1/3 teaspoon = 1 cup sugar (not 1 1/2 teaspoon as listed above). Although I do have the "Low Carb Cooking with Stevia" book that also lists the same (1 1/2) equivalents as above.

Too much stevia may taste bitter or licorice-like. For things where you can easliy add more (tea, Kool Aid, whipped cream, etc), start with less and taste - only add more if it needs it. After using it for awhile, you will get the hang of it.
