Default Bad cravings

My TOM starts end of this week, and I am craving carbs like crazy. I always do at this time. To make it worse, my coworker brought a bunch of Tootsie Rolls lollipops into work!

All I have to do is hold out another 2 hours then I can go home and have a SF candy. Grrrr.

Default Atkins advatage candy

I just tried an Atkins Advanatage candy. Man, if you want something to satisfy a chocolate craving try the plain chocolate candy bar. It was great! In fact I couldn't eat the whole thing it was so sweet. I don't think my body is going to rebel against it (the sugar alcohols) because I've had the carmel nut bar and haven't had a problem. It only has two net carbs per bar. I can't believe it's legal. Yum.

Question Question...

I've been eyeing the LC/sugar-free sweets in the stores. Do they tend to make you crave more sweets? I'm so afraid of eating something that will bring back the cravings for carbs and sweets! I know better than to ingest Aspertame, but what about the other sugar free stuff without it? Can you stop after just one?

Thanks!

I'm not the expert on that, but I'll tell you what I do.

Have you been over to the sweets section of the forum? Check it out. They have some great recipes, including CHOCOLATE. We made the chocolate that goes with the peanut butter cups, a LOT of it, and put it in the freezer. Sometimes, we take out a chunk of it, soften it, and mix it in with whipped cream or whipped Ricotta cheese and Splenda. YUMMMMM YUMMMMMMMMMM Tastes like canolli filling.

Also, for a real chocolate craving, I love the Pure DeLite bars.

I love the saying, "Success is a matter of the made up mind" So, when you get those cravings, you just have to figure out how to satisfy them within the parameters of options that still allow you success. There are plenty!!!

The website says that you can have an occassional bar or shake, but the book does not. Bars are notorious stallers for some people. Beware.

For me, having artificial sweetners just sets me off. I want more and then I want the real stuff. I have to avoid them.

I agree, the 'book' says no to all those foods with sugar alcoholsin them while on induction. I'd avoid them completely for now.

I'm with Elihnig on cravings - imitation sweets set me running for more, or as with some of the chocolate candy, send me running for the bathroom! That fixed the cravings too! I tried the Mock Danish recipe ast night and ate two of them in a blink of the eye. Could have eaten 4 more if I'd let myself. Went to bed instead.

Try to eat some protein to ward off the cravings for the candy.
