question: glycerin and ketostix
okay so last night i wanted to try a new recipe with sugarfree torani's raspberry syrup. i noted that it had glycerin as a main ingredient. i was hesitant but than i thought what if i am tolerant to it? so i tried it. i guess i really wanted to test it, because i ate much of the recipe i made in one evening, before 10pm. actually it was just pretty damn good and i was craving sweets.
so this morning about 11 am i tested with a ketostix and it showed i was still in ketosis. it showed a dark trace response which is better than it showed the day before.
does this mean I am glycerin tolerant or was that test not represetative of my ketosis levels since i ate the glycerin bombs?
please help.
i would be ecstatic to find out that i am glycerin tolerant.
extra credit: are there other side effects to glycerin besides occasionally knocking folks out of ketosis.
