Pork Parmesan
Looked to see if this recipe was in here anywhere and found it hard to believe it wasn't but then again it may just be because everyone knows how to make it on their own???? Anyway this is what I did.
5 Pork Chops or Pork Steak , I used Pork chops because that is what I had.
1 cup Spaghettie sauce, I used my own but any will do.
Pork Rinds, ground
1 Egg beaten with a touch of cream and a touch of water.
1/4 cup of Mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 Tablespoons fresh Parmesan cheese
Garlic Powder
Dip meat in egg wash and then in ground pork rinds. Sprinkle with Garlic Powder.
Fry in skillet with oil until nice and golden brown and just about done.
I lined a 9x13 in. pan with foil and spread about 6Tbls. of tomato sauce on the bottom of the pan to just lightly coat it.
Lay your pork chops into the pan.
Top each pork chop with the remainder of the sauce, a good spoonfu on each chop. Then sprinkle with the Mozzarella cheese and top with the fresh Parmesan cheese.
Bake in the oven 350 degrees for about 30-35 min.
Remove from pan and enjoy.
I figured about 3.0 grams of carbs for each one.
I was also getting a kick out of breading the pork with pork and truthfully don't think I would bother doing that again. I was hoping for the crispy effect and it really didn't have it. I don't think there is anything like how tender pork comes out with tomato sauce. Also with any tomato based recipe it is always better the next day. Hope you enjoy it if you try it.
