Yesterday I was diagnosed with type II diabetes, but that's for another day.
I had an amazing surprise! After the diagnosis I was brought to a the women's diabetic research area in the Clinic. While there I meet up with the dietican and was forced to make an appointment. When asked why I resisted so, I told her, I refuse to do the Diabetes diet that I was put on before and I gained 60lbs. I wanted to do South Beach like my Doctor suggested. She said (And get this!) No problems, I'll help you be successful on South Beach.
My jaw dropped to the floor. A dietician.. letting me do low carb? Wow!!
I now feel excited about all this. She's working specifically with my portion sizes. Isn't this just the coolest?!
