Thumbs up I'm new here but have found some nice snack treats

Hi everyone - this forum seems like a wonderful place for support and information and I look forward to being a part of it.

First of all, I was shopping in my local Safeway at Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre here in Melbourne's East and I found what I think are some great little low carb treats to satisy the slightly sweet tooth in some people.

I'm not sure if anyone else has already posted about these, but I'll put in my two bobs worth anyway.

Actually I found a couple of different products (one of which I didn't buy today but looked great anyway - will tell you about that later) - they were in the section of the supermarket that normally has little gourmet accompaniments, like those little toast thingys for pate and dry almond breads etc. - usually some imported stuff too.

Anyway, what I bought today was some Kez's Kitchen Fruit Bread - it's actually just like the dry almond bread stuff - it's Australian Made and owned and it's yummy - not really sweet oranythign but just that little hint of indulgence. There's actually quite a number of products in their brand range, some similar dry bread type products like this one (Vanilla, Sticky Date, Almond, etc.) and they have some slightly more indulgent treats such as Almond Honey cakes and Florentines - didn't buy those but may in the future, as I'm just starting out on Atkins.

Kez's Kitchen Fruit Bread
Ingredients: Flour, Sugar, Egg White, Apricot, Almond, Walnut

Nutritional Information:
Per 5g
Energy: 93kj
Protein: 0.7g
Fat: Total - 0.55g
Fat: Saturated - 0.16g
Carb: Total - 3.58g
Sugars - 1.75g
Sodium: 3.15mg
Potassium: 18.5mg

I think this points to being quite alright on the Atkins diet - any feedback, criticism, advice - has anyone else bought or had these products.

The other thing I found inn the same section was some imported Italian biscuits - varying flavours etc. - which seemed pretty damned good too - will get back to you all next week with the details of those when I buy them!!!

Look forward to seeing some responses from some of you.

Cheers.
Philby.
