Tummy Tuck, what do you know about them?

My doc said I MIGHT need a tummy tuck. He said that my skin was soft and he did not think it would firm up much more. What do you know about them? I have never really thought about this kind of thing, I always thought I was age gracefully but my belly looks terrible.
