reward meal balancing

Can anyone give me some info regarding balancing my RM. I have not gotten the CALP book yet (still doing CAD).I am not thrilled with the idea of losing my 1 hour eat-a-thon, but based on what i have read on this forum, it seems I will have to do so

. Please let me know what this entails. THANKS
