Actually, my anniversary was the 4th...but I forgot to remember.

I have not forgotten that a year ago I could not walk 50 feet and now I am mobile.

I have not forgotten that a year ago I could not breathe and had to sleep sitting up on the couch many nights and now I sleep well and in bed.

I have not forgotten pants so tight they left marks on my waist; my inability to fit in a booth at my favorite restaurant; being unable to use the patio furniture for fear of breaking it; being unable to use our beach vacation as I could not navigate the steps to and from the beach.

I guess any of you more talented that I could come up with a country-western song over this: I am glad I remembered the stuff I can't forget!
