LOWCARB Bread Mix from Villages Pizza in Thrifty's on Vanc. Island
Hiya,
I was exstatic yesterday while shopping in Thrifty's in Colwood.
They were just opening boxes of LOWCARB Bread Mix from Villages Pizza and also LOWBARB Pizza Mix. 1 kg of the Pizza Flour Mix was under $7 and the Bread Mix was [Sorry I think ~ 2.5kg] and it was under $15. It is pricey but not to bad I think. Am just guessing but should make ~ 10 loaves. Oh yes the Bread mix one can be used in Bread machines just need to add the water, yeast etc. The Pizza one said just to add to your regular Pizza dough recipe instead of the flour. I did purchase the Pizza one but cannot try it for a few days anyway. I did not get the bread one as I am still working on a 10LB box i picked up in Calgary form Lakeview Bakery. It was $25 for 10lbs whick is supposed to be enought to make 20 loaves. Great deal great bread for you Cowtowners.OK Back to the Thriftys...talked to an employee he said they are really trying to get local suppliers of LC stuff and said they were really close to LC tortilla shells.
Also they make their own LC bread on Wednesdays...haven't tried that yet. i requested LC hamburger buns
KUDOS to Villages Pizza for making this available to us.
Ok thats it for my good news.
Take care Y'all
Jan
