Default SAD and Lowcarbing?

I suffer from seasonal depression in the winter (SAD). Right now I am not on wellbutrin for the first winter in a while (it messed with my sleep and gave me headaches. also, I really don't need to lose my appetite, which is a side effect) Has anyone else had success with lowcarbing and SAD? Strangely I don't feel as bad as past winters, but I am wondering if the lack of seratonin from carbs has any effect on depression. I am also thinking about getting a sunlight lamp. Anyone use one of these? Any tips for winter depression? Thanks, and everyone try to keep positive this winter.
