Exercise and hunger... a question
Does anyone notice how after exercise, if you eat something it tastes different (or you don't respond to it in a regular way)?
For me I notice that after exercising, sweet tastes are very very unappealing, and even something that normally wouldn't taste sweet to me, like very low carb veggies, i can taste their sweetness. Savory tastes, like protein, have no taste to them after exercising. Also, I don't want to eat anything after exercising, my appetite is greatly diminished.
I am certain this must be the caused by a hormonal change that occurs when your body is physically stressed. It could also be caused by a high concentration of ketones from fat burning, perhaps.
Does anyone have a link to a study related to this phenomena? I am very interested in reading about it.
Exercise really is a natural appetite suppressant at least for me. Whenever I get the munchies (you know, that feeling like "god I could go for something sweet and/or crunchy now", a listless/bored/tv kind of urge to eat) I exercise. Works great.
