UK Sunday Lunch - Missing Roast Potatoes!
How many of you miss roast potatoes with your Sunday lunch?
Well, in case you have not already discovered them roast swede makes a great alternative. I'd not thought of this until last winter when I read a post from Karen about roast rutabaga. What was that I asked? Well Rutabaga is swede to us Brits.
Anyway, swedes are back in the shops again now. Prepare it just like a potato and roast it for around 40 minutes.
Yes, swede is low carb at only 2.6 g carbs per 100g so you can have quite a lot.
You might like to also try it mashed with butter and for those who don't mind a few extra carbs mash it with a carrot.
