anyone read the daily mail today.they have a story entitled- egg prices rocketing as Atkins dieters blamed for shortage.
it goes on to say that the huge popularity of the Atkins diet has caused a 40% surge in the wholesale price of eggs.sales have risen by 9% so far this year,bringing fears of an egg shortage as well as a steep rise in the supermarket price.Egg producers may not be able to supply enough eggs to meet demand and cake and sweet manufacturers are being warned about possible shortages at xmas.Shame!
