Default Sweet-n-low/Splenda/Aspertame?

I think I'm a little confused about the sugar substitute thing.

I remember reading about it in the Atkins book, but still cant quite get the hang of remembering what is good and what is not.

I have been using a 1/2 packet of sweet and low in my daily tea (I HAVE SERIOUS caffein problems and this is the least I can do without a heavy withdrawal), then I just read a thread about not having anything but splenda...

then there was the sugar free jello thread (hey on the box it says 0 carbs, so why is it bad?) is it because of the TYPE of sugar substitute?

Help! I'm fairly new to all this. Tomorrow will be week 3! I dont know how much weight I lost (dont own a scale) but I DO Feel better and my levis that were an inch a way from buttoning, buttoned today
