Granola is like a cereal, this is the recipe I use (I omit the splenda and usually add macadamia nuts) ... I then put a serve or so into my yoghurt and its just like eating museli & yoghurt

Note - flax seeds are what the Yanks call linseeds, you can buy them as preground in the health food shops or grind your own in a coffee grinder, remember to put any ground seeds into the fridge or freezer as they go rancid unless cooked..

oh and calculations and this recipe are from the Low Carb Luxury website

COLD Cereal
Piekinns' Flax Seed Granola from Piekinns

1 lb ground flax seeds (6.35net in 100g)(about 25net carbs in 1lb)
1 cup shredded coconut (0.4x16T=6.4 net g)
1 cup thin sliced almonds (1.7x8=13.6 net g)
1 Tbl pumpkin pie spice (I use a mix of fresh nutmeg and cinamon)
1/2 cup splenda (1/2c splenda is about 12g) (or use liquid with egg whites=0)
1 Tbl vanilla
6 egg whites (0.3x6=1.8)
1/2 cup water
total net carbs=21.8+flax net carbs 25= 46.8 total recipe not counting splenda, add 12 for 1/2 cup of splenda.
Bake in 150 degree C oven for 3 hours, breaking up any lumps on a regular basis

Yum!!!!!!!!!!

Fiona
