High cholesterol level

Hello all,
after 7 weeks Atkins - I have lost about 14kgs and feel pretty good. I have Just come back from the Drs after my blood test. It seems my combined cholesterol is 330! The Dr. says that no matter what the proportions of cholesterol are, a result of 330 requires medication to reverse. Has anybody any experience of this. I'm disappointed because I thought everything was going so well....is it all the eggs for breakfast?
