Question Davinci Syrups

I was just wondering if anyone uses these? I am sure they aren't allowed in induction, but was just wondering for after? Do any of the posters from Canada use them? And if so any ideas where i could find them? I tried to email the company, but they weren't very helpful in finding retail outlets that carry them. Thanks!

I have three big bottles and use them a lot., mainly in yogurt, cottage cheese, and mock danishes. Don't know about retail... I bought mine online from Netrition.com. You can also buy directly from their website.

If you check out the Low Carb Products forum. You can do a search for "Da Vinci" and will come up with lots of stuff.

I have the Dulce de Leche, French Vanilla, and Coconut flavors. They are all pretty good. Dulce de Leche is my favorite.

Hope that helps.

Default I'm in Canada..

I've seen them at several places..

Any "real" coffee shop should carry them or Oscars, which is a different brand but similar.

I haven't tried them yet, but we are always talking about doing it, and I imagine sometime soon we will!

I use one flavor or another nearly every day, over mock danishes, in Keto cereal or yogurt, or to make homemade sodas. There's a restaurant supply shop near me that has the entire line of DaVinci, Oscars, Torani and one other whose name escapes me at the moment.

Let's see, currently on my shelf:

Huckleberry
Strawberry
Grape
Spiced Chai Black Tea
Pancake Maple

The kids love orange sodas, which I don't buy them often because I try to keep their sugar intake down to a sub-lethal level. I'm thinking I'll get a bottle of the DV orange and start making sodas for them as treats.

As far as where to find them: some grocery stores carry them, but odds are you'll find the "popular" flavors which are nearly always limited to vanilla, almond or hazelnut.

If you can't find a supplier near you, go to your favorite coffee shop or espresso stand and ask them where they buy their supplies. Odds are most small stands shop at a foodservice or restaurant supply store and you could go there and choose to your heart's content.

I found small bottles of vanilla and hazelnut at Super Walmart.

I like making sodas with them, no caffine or aspertame! Very light and refreshing!

Also, make sure they say sugar free if you buy them at the store, I almost bought a bottle of the sugared version.

Love the DaVinci syrups.

Found a Cash N Carry in Olympia, that sells them for $3.69 (this is the large bottle.)

Lets see, what do I have on my shelf?
Orange
Cherry
Toasted Hazelnut
Banana
Raspberry
Dulce de leche
B52
Chocolate
Huckleberry
Carmel
(out of Vanilla, Raspberry and strawberry)

Use mine for my morning protein shake.

Wow, Char you lucked out! Look at all those flavors.

FYI, Dulce de Leche is Argentinian caramel... literally "Sweet Milk". VERY tasty... I used to eat dulce de leche Haagan Daaz a lot. Maybe I will fashion up my own caramel ice cream this summer.

Is your "cash and carry" the same as this Kash N' Karry?

http://www.kashnkarry.com/

If so, I need to take a trip down the road this weekend!

Theresa,

I don't think the C & C is the same as your K & K.

Cash n Carry is kind of a warehouse market, where store merchants can purchase in case lots. The particular one I went supplies many of the local coffee stands with the syrups, they have the regular as well as the Splenda flavored syrups. (and you know how Seattle/Wash. is know for their coffee stands )

But you'll never know until you try.........

Our Kash N Karry is a lower grade grocery store. I have not been in one in 10-15 years. I would have been pleasantly shocked if you were talking about the same thing.

Oh well... it was worth a shot!

You Cash and Carry sounds like a wicked cool place. I have never been to Washington State but hope to go one of these days!

The Cash and Carry in Bellingham has TONS of flavours of SF DaVinci syrups.. I have 5 in my pantry now! Check it out, it's worth the trip. Also Haggen's is a pretty good place for LC stuff, I found Atkins muffin mixes and bread mixes, amongst other things.

Hi there.... I used to buy the Oscars at the Cash and Carry here until I found Davinci's. Davinci's is made with Splenda and I think it tastes better. I buy bottles of it at the Java Hut here. They have SF Vanilla, Haz.nut, Irish Cream and Almond. The Irish Cream is sooo good in coffee.... almost like using Baily's ( I add cream to my coffee). Good Luck!!
