Unhappy Week 3 and Scale is UP????

Please HELP!! I'm on C1, W3, D1.....and I've GAINED 4 pounds!!!! How could this be? I was doing so well with Week1. Then Week 2 happened, and I found myself sluggish and moody. Still adhering to BFL strictly, enjoying my workouts, hitting my 10's! But my energy plummetted by the middle of last week. And now, I've gained 4 pounds. Is it possible that this way of eating isn't for me? I've been a pretty LC gal for quite some time.....maybe this is too much carbs for me? I don't know......but I feel rather discouraged and I don't want to quit! Could it be that I'm just gaining lots and lots of muscle and any second now, the weight will come off?
Has anyone else encounted this??

You are doing everything right. First of all stay off the scale!
Measurements are more accurate scale weight doesn't mean a thing. It takes 12 weeks to finish the complete program, give it that time.

There is an excellent website www.leanandstrong.com that you can go to. Read their message boards because what you and I and many others are experiencing is quite normal. I have gained
6 lbs. since starting BFL but I know for sure that my clothes are fitting better, I am about to get into a size smaller.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, HN! Your encouragement is helpful! I also didn't mention that I quit smoking just over 1 month ago, and that might have something to do with the moodiness. (DUH!!!). And I know that scale weight isn't the most accurate....but my clothes aren't even looser yet! I know, I know......'Patience, Grasshopper....'
Anyway, thank you again!
