Default Hi Trish

I was diagnosed with a thyroid problem in July of '97. I had been undiagnosed for probably five years before that because I had a lot of what I didn't realize were symptoms that started in '92.

I started on Synthroid. I took that for several years. I take Levoxyl now.

If you aren't doing well on Synthroid, you might ask your doctor to change your medication. There are several T4 type meds out there besides Levoxyl. It also might be that you're not converting your T4 properly to T3 and you might need a T3 med as well. There are several T3 meds available. There are also meds that combine T4 and T3.

Good luck. I know you must feel awful.

Virginia
