Are Tums or rolaids allowed on the Atkins diet ? Thanks.

I would avoid them unless they're sugar free. I'm sure if you ask a pharmacist, s/he could let you know which ones are sugar free.

I assume you're taking them for indigestion, heartburn, etc. You'll be pleased to know that most people who start low-carbing find that those symptoms go away.

This is very true. I would get really bad heartburn every day around 5pm and could no longer eat after that time and would throw up from the acid. It was horrible. After about 2 weeks of low carbing it went away. Maybe a coincidence(sp), maybe not.

NOT. I used to get heartburn everyday.....well, no more! Not as bad as you thank goodness. That's enough to keep you on track if nothing else!
