Exclamation Waiting for TOM

Has anyone skipped their TOM due to induction? I am just trying to figure out if I am late because of Dr. Atkins or my boyfriend

Hope it's Dr A and not the boyfriend. It's possible the change in diet could have thrown you off. Having any other symptoms for either? Of course, anxiety about the cause could make things worse.

It was Dr. A. I guess the ketosis threw my body out of whack!

Boy, that's a relief! Any major change in diet can really mess up your TOM. My daughter went on one of those super low-fat diets you saw those diet centers advertising about 12 years ago. Her TOM stopped altogether and didn't return for months. When it did it was extremely erratic. She started Atkins in September and the last two months was the first time since then that she has had her TOM two months in a row. Maybe her system is finally straightening out.

Glad to hear it was the diet!

My TOM cycle has gotten longer since being on Atkins - it used to be about 25 days and now it's more like 30 or 31 (obviously I'm not on BC pills). That might explain the extra wait - it certainly threw me the first few times.

See ya,

Hi there, I see from your profile you are at that "magic age". By that I mean the time when cycles tend to change. My OB/Gyn told me years ago that most if not all women have changes in their cycles when they reach about 30. Of course, being on Atkins could be accelerating the cyclical changes also.

Question I'm no on the Induction phase

I am at my goal weight, but I'm late I was suppose to start last weekend, and I still have not. I had major cravings last week even a little tiny pimple on my jawl line. Which are signs of pms. I have been low carbing for 4 months. And they have all been normal. I wonder why I'm late all of a suden . I 'm on the pill. But if I eat the wrong food I'll throw up & I heard that can make the pill not as affective.
Either way I blame Dr Atkins for making us look good , now our husbands can't keep their hands off.

Josie
