Talking New Here

Hi everyone
I am new here, what a GREAT site I have been on the 3 day diet for the past 4 days and have lost some weight but find that it is really tough at 600 calories a day~mind you the 4 days off you can have 1200.
Anyhoo I steered away from the Protein Power plan b/c I thought that I couldn't do it...well after 2 trial runs with a day off in between and now 4 days straight on the 3 day diet (which is a low carb plan too,but low protein too) I know I can do it!! Besides I hate feeling starved all the time Hence...the journey is about to begin

I am looking very forward to meeting some of you

hi Jellybean, my name is Maggie, I live in England and I am new at all this too. I am doing the Atkins low carb and have been on it now just about 17 days and have lost 12 lbs. I am new to all these diets and low carb is totally new to me. I have tried counting calories and low fat before the first with some sucess but I put it all back on and then some. I have not heard of the diet that you have picked out for yourself and it seems a very hard one as you seem to be restricted on every level. However you do seem to have a very good attitude and to have had already put that attitude to work for you. I hope to watch you sucessfully make your goal weight.

Hi Jellybean and welcome,

It sounds like that diet would become difficult after two meals! There is a lot of info online about eating enough calories. A general guideline is to eat 10-12x's your weight in calories. If you don't you are not getting enough to eat and your body will go into starvation mode. Many online can tell their own personal stories about that!

There are quite a few people online who use protein power. You will find a lot of support here.

Good luck
