Does anyone know of anything written about children being on the Atkins plan?

I know about the CA book about kids, but I'm more familiar with Atkins and would like to know about putting my son on this woe.

He's 11 and could stand to lose about 15 or so lbs. He's very flabby, and it's beginning to embarrass him. He was normal sized until the end of the 3rd grade, which is when he started gaining.

My biggest concern is for him to go into ketosis, is that safe for a child?

Any input will be appreciated.
