Default Lean for Life

Has anyone heard of the Lean for Life program? How does it compare to the other low-carb diets?

One of my co-workers is doing the lean for life program. From what I understand, it's both a low carb AND a low fat program. She hasn't been doing it for too long, so I can't speak for how effective it is. It seems to me, though, that with the low fat, you would run into the problem of being hungry again and have a hard time sticking with it. Without the fat, it may also be a low calorie program which has problems of it's own. I did a quick search and found a website: www1.lindora.com if you would like to find out more about it.

Default Hi people!!

I found the basics of the LFL program on another board and because of the inclrdible results I read about I'm trying it: in 3 days I've lost 4 and 1/2 pounds. Yes, it's a low carb/low fat plan, and the first 3 days are very extreme. I 'm not a bit hungry though and only felt a bit weird the very first day.

From day 4 the plan starts to become reasonable but the carbs and fats are pretty low until you get to maintenance, but as I say, not having the book I'm not so sure. I was in a hurry to get into a skirt for a wedding tomorrow and it has really worked. I don't think I'd follow it long term. Probably after this wedding on saturday and baptism on sunday (yeah! eat eat eat) I'll probably use it for a couple of days to get rid of the bloat, but being that I'm trying to put on a little muscle I'll probably go back to PP.

HTH

C.

Hi Roe!

The forum where you find additional info is called lowcarbfriends.com. Click on the search button and write in LFL. I got most of my info reading the threads on the Challenges forum. You should find a list of foods and the basic rules. If you're in trouble do ask me and I'll tell you what I know to get the diet started.

Bye
C.
